  • It Can Lift Heavy Machinery: Whether it’s heavy equipment, building materials, or large-scale palletized loads, containers can handle it.
  • Lots of storage space: A standard container has about twice the capacity of a 20ft box. They’re great for housing big inventories or oversize equipment.
  • Easy to move around: Containers can be stacked atop one another and moved into position, saving valuable square footage wherever they are deployed.
  • Flexible: Containers can roll smoothly from trucks to rail centers to ocean vessels due to their universal design.
  • Transport-ready: Containers can be transported on public roads with minimal or no special permits required in most jurisdictions.

Ways to Put Your New 40ft Conex Box to Work

A brand new 40ft Conex box gives you 320 square feet of weather tight space. Building a foundation and framing a building can cost thousands and take months — a Conex box bypasses all that. Drop it on site, lock it up, and you’re in business. Here are just a few of the most popular uses:

Storage Store household goods, business inventory, or industrial equipment dry and secure. Conex boxes belong everywhere, from job sites to farms to behind your warehouse, where you can keep overflowing materials.

Farm & Ranch Store anything you need protected from the elements: grain, feed, hay, tractors, equipment. Many producers are starting to rely on them for this purpose.

Office Space Need a job-site or remote office up and running immediately? Wire it for electricity, add HVAC, insulation, windows, and whatever layout works for your team — most offices are built in weeks instead of months.

Retail & Food Service Want a portable storefront? Convert a Conex box into a coffee cart, food truck commissary, pop-up boutique, or specialty store. Paint it, wrap it, slap your logo on it — it’s your blank canvas.

Studios, Shops & Mobile Signage Need an art studio, maker space, podcast recording studio, or even a portable billboard? Many brands use them at concerts, sporting events, and trade shows for high-impact advertising.

Buying a 40ft Conex Box

Ordering extra square footage and headroom? Think new 40ft Conex box. Here are some helpful hints to consider before ordering.

Clearance for Delivery – Measure your delivery space prior to purchase. Our trucks require approximately 16 feet of overhead clearance and approximately 80 feet of straight driveway or roadway to back the trailer up to your desired delivery location. Once in position, our hydraulic system will lift the box up off the truck and down to the ground. Allow us room to operate, and we’ll have your delivery out fast.

Advantages of a New Box – Your brand new Conex box will have no damage and will come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Plus, you’ll have many years of service out of your box. Every new steel box that comes through our Steel Box warehouse is inspected to ensure it arrived from the factory free of defects.

Price vs. Value – Simple. New will cost more than used. However, when you buy used, you could be getting years of wear and tear you know nothing about. When you buy new, you know you’ll get decades of reliable service. We also try to make pricing as easy as possible. No hidden fees or costs.

Permits You May Need – Ask your city or county if there are any permits you’ll need to acquire prior to purchasing your shipping container. This is typically only an issue if you want to convert the box into a living space, ADU, or space to work in.

Delivery Fees – Price depends on the distance traveled from our yard to you. Standard boxes and High C cubes cost nearly the same to deliver since we use the same material to set both onto the ground. The weight of both is also relatively the same, so that doesn’t affect the price either.
